Hi! I want to start by welcoming you to my corner of the internet and thanking you for taking the time to support my literal dream.
This is going to be a short-ish introduction to me and my dream.
I was born and raised in Middle Georgia, mostly Warner Robins, which is south of Macon about forty minutes. Since I can remember I have always loved books. When someone asks me when I became so obsessed with reading, I just can't really remember a time when my nose wasn't in a book. In some ways, I taught myself to read (that's a long story) at a young age and have been hooked ever since.
When I was a child, the only thing I knew I wanted to do when I grew up was work with books. A Librarian seemed the path for me but, college was never really presented to me as an option as an older teenager trying to figure out my entire life. I was basically told to join the workforce as soon as possible and go from there. My dreams were pushed to the side.
As I got older and explored different career paths, I have realized that I crave a purpose in what I am doing. My biggest passion in life is to connect people with books they will love and cherish. This is the whole point of this shop. Yes, I want to keep myself afloat and my ultimate dream is to have my own brick and mortar store (probably in my hometown) but, when I really sit and examine what makes me want to work with books, connecting people with books is my truest passion.
